Hohenholte - section of the Stiftsgriffe (trench around the site of the monastery)
The former monastery moat lying in front of us with a length of 780m still surrounds the center of Hohenholte as a monastery moat.
It used to serve as a defense against enemy attacks and as extinguishing water in the event of fires.
On the street there used to be a gatehouse with a bridge that was demolished around 1860.
