    Its origin is that of an old castle-fortress donated in 1399 to the hermits of San Agustín by D. Pedro Ponce de León, who remained there until 1835. Since 1882 it has been cared for by the Franciscan community.
    It is worth highlighting the 15th century Mudejar cloister, the library, the museum and the image of the Virgin, patron saint of the city, whose name day is celebrated on September 8, leaving in procession around the Sanctuary before the massive attendance of devotees from all Andalusia.
