The Roman Bridge of Cangas de Onís, also known as the bridge, is an old construction located on the Sella river in the old capital of Asturias, Cangas de Onís and that separates the councils of Cangas de Onís and Parres.

Although it is known as the Roman bridge, it was built during the High Middle Ages, probably from the s. XIII, other sources date it during the reign of Alfonso XI of Castile and León.

From the central arch hangs a large replica of the Victoria Cross, symbol of Asturias. This decorative detail has its origin in 1939 when, after his forced exile in Paris, the image of La Santina returned to Spain and its headquarters in Covadonga. To receive it in Cangas de Onís, a triumphal arch was built on the new bridge and the entire environment was decorated, using, among other reasons, a Victory Cross that, since then, has been displayed in the center of the bridge.

The bridge was declared a National Monument in 1931.
