A short detour over the Trou de la Tine is worth a look: Once again, erosion has played its part and dug a cave whose ceiling has now collapsed.

The Trou de la Tine takes its name from the shape: it looks like a barrel (= tine) open at the top. You enter through the opening of the bung which is a little away from the path.

I walked from the centre of Geneva to the start of this tour, about an hour 3.5 miles, but you can catch the No 8 bus from the Centre of Geneva to Veyrier (and more importantly back, as I did at the end of the tour.
This way round is the steeper ascent which I personally prefer.
