The Tyrolean Lechtal, the Lechtal on the upper reaches of the Lech in Tyrol is a nature and landscape protection area. No matter where you are along the Lech, there are always and everywhere wonderful views of the river.

A unique landscape through which the second longest river in Tyrol flows! The Tyrolean Lechtal nature park region is nestled between the Lechtal and Allgäu Alps. Far away from transit routes and mass tourism, you will find communities that invite you to enjoy and linger.
The untouched nature of the Lech was a reason to place the river under protection a few years ago. The originally protected area, Natura-2000, was subsequently declared a nature park. Today it covers an area of 42.38 km² in the heart of the Lechtal region.
