Old Beet Expressway (Salzgitter-Bad – Groß Mahner)

This street (closed to public traffic) in east-west direction is almost an insider tip when it comes to or from SZ-Bad. You bypass the Windmühlenberg or the lousy bike path along the B248. The animal shelter of SZ-Bad and the local sewage treatment plant are located along the street, but you never smell 😁
In the past there was a loading station for the ores of the Ilseder Hütte from the Georg-Friedrich mine near Dörnten / Liebenburg, an allotment garden colony and the sugar factory Groß-Mahner, all of which can no longer be seen.The asphalt has some quirks along the shelter!

The "Alte Rüben Schnellweg" takes you without a lot of altitude - from Salzgitter-Bad in the direction of Ohlendorf or Groß Mahner
