The only discordant note is the huge white sphere at its top which houses a LORAN base which is used as a radar base by ENAV for air traffic control in the Eastern sectors of the Central Tyrrhenian Sea and the Southern Tyrrhenian Sea. The radar in question is recognizable by the radome, the large white protective dome placed on top, visible throughout the district.
