The Hinterburg and especially the Hinterturm are well-known landmarks of the East Hessian «Burgenstadt» slot in the Vogelsberg. The castle dates back to the 15th century and is a Renaissance style building with magnificent gables. The 36 meter high back tower dates back to the 14th century.
