Out of Confinement into the Open Sculpture (Herleshausen)

Together with artists, representatives of the ARS NATURA Foundation, sponsors, the mayors of the community of Ringgau and Herleshausen and with the participation of many citizens, Lothar Quanz, vice-president of the district and initiator of "Art on the border", unveiled two more ARS NATURA Exterior on Saturday, November 9, 2013 art.
 
They are located in the center of Netras, as well as between Herleshausen and Lauchröden and increase the tourist value of the former border area.

As a souvenir of the inner-German border. The Werra divided Hesse from Thuringia here. Normally only accessible by two-wheeler.

Art at the limit
A larger than life human figure symbolizes, through its posture, the liberation from the repressive system of the GDR and, on the other hand, shows the worthwhile effort to overcome ideological attitudes and to go the distance.
To be more precise, at a place that restricted the lives of the people of Lauchrödens during the Cold War. The residents were forbidden to approach the banks of the Werra, visitors from the west were not allowed to go to Lauchröden.
The artwork and the Brandenburg castle ruins in the background offer a worthwhile photo opportunity.
