The 1000-year-old oak is located in Bad Blumau in the Bierbaum district and is considered the oldest oak in Europe. The tree impresses with a height of 30 meters and a trunk diameter of 2.50 meters. The crown diameter is even 50 meters. Seven adults are required to comprise the tribe.

You can relax in your shade or reflect on the many, sometimes stormy, eras that this magnificent tree has already survived.

In the 1970s, the oak was so badly damaged by lightning that it began to rot. In 1989 it was revitalized by tree surgeon Manfred Saller and thus saved from decay. The tree has now survived 50 generations!
