This segment consists of the final part of the climb that the Giro d'Italia has covered twice in its history, in 2008 to 2010, from the Furcia pass to Plan de Corones. In both stages, identical in route and both time trials, the climb began already in San Vigilio di Marebbe, the starting point, but in this section the slopes become harder and above all the dirt road begins. The surface has now become a little damaged and it is advisable to use a bike with abundant tires.
