In the 17th century, windmills or water mills flourished in the area. In Gallardon, Ecrosnes, Bailleau-sous-Gallardon, Harleville, Ymeray, Bleury, in Montlouet… All belong to the Lord of Esclimont, also the Marquis de Gallardon.
