This classic in the Sexten Dolomites awaits every mountaineer with magnificent and spectacular views of the Fischleintal and the wildly jagged Dolomite mountains and is also suitable for absolute via ferrata beginners. The "Strada degli Alpini" is not technically difficult, but the exposed passages absolutely require a head for heights and surefootedness, otherwise it's no fun.
Otherwise, the easily walkable rock ledge is secured with wire ropes in all difficult places and runs through the western flank of the Elfers without any major differences in altitude. For those who don't mind the depth and deep views from the narrow ledges in places, this climb is a real pleasure.
