Sandia Creek Dr has some utterly steep sections, bad road planning combined with a challenging terrain. Climbs are unavoidable, but probably it is better to travel North to South

This whole section is now behind closed gates. Cars are not allowed but bikes can slip by. I haven't been able to find anything that says bikes are permitted or not permitted.
