Dry specialists grow here, such as the Carthusian carnation (Dianthus carthusianorum), spring cinerea (Potentilla neumanniana) and the scabious corymblood (Centaurea scabiosa). Even the shimmering blue kingfisher (Alcedo atthis) can be discovered here with a bit of luck. He builds his nesting holes in the steep loam and sand slopes.
