Road cycling
The two small hydropower plants Bruggmühle and Sittermühle in the municipality of Bischofszell in the canton of Thurgau have been generating electricity from renewable energy sources since 1930. The Bruggmühle power plant was built on the right bank of the river next to the mill of the same name and the Sittermühle power plant is located in the basement of the opposite building on the left bank. In 2021, the modernization of these two plants is currently being planned.
