The "Blue Stone" in the Pauline Grove was built at the end of the 18th century. It is made of Aachen bluestone and was built during the French occupation of the western Rhineland under Napoleon Bonaparte. The adjacent grove bears the name of Bonaparte's favorite sister, Pauline.
