Nice view from here on the Traun.

When the weather is nice, we walk from the Ufermann car park over the Traun Bridge towards Weißkirchen.
Immediately after the bridge turn right and continue under the motorway bridge. Turn left there and then immediately right again into an Auwegerl.
Along this, past a gravel pond deep down to an old open barrier. Now cross the Schleißbach over pipes and continue on the Auwegerl to a clearing.
From here you go right on a meadow path past an old barn until you see the dog training area straight ahead. A short distance about 30 m before the dressing area, turn left on the meadow path towards the asphalt road.
Follow this asphalt road to the right for a short distance until an Auweg branches off to the right towards Schleißbach. You cross this carefully on a slightly swinging but secure wooden post, or with long steps, taking advantage of the dry areas, to the other bank.
From here you go straight on to an old apple tree, behind which you turn left and continue straight on to a sheep pasture. The memorial, the concentration camp cemetery, is also close by.
Now a gravel road goes slightly downhill to the Lettner pond. Follow this bank in a curve until after a short distance you reach a well-paved gravel road.
On weekdays, trucks from the gravel pit are on this paved road. You have to follow this road for a short distance.
Immediately afterwards, the hiker decides for himself whether he will hike on the tarred road along the Traun or on top of the dam.
To the right we go back over the Traun power plant and continue to Ufermann or the parking lot. (Saturday and Sunday you can stop for refreshments at GH. Ufermann; outdoor consumption is possible when the weather is good).
Upstream, however, you come to a boat hut and, depending on your mood, either return the same way or via the town of Schleißheim to the “Binder im Holz” snack bar.
You can also walk from the boat hut towards Thalheim and over the motorway feeder bridge on a sidewalk and continue along the stairway on the other bank of the Traun back to the vehicle.
By the way, from the snack station "Binder im Holz" you go down near Dietach Castle to Traunuferstrasse, cross it and come to the Bergern area, continue back over the Lettner ponds and take the same path back to the Traun Bridge and continue to the vehicle.
