The castle of Vizille dates from the 17th century. It is known for having welcomed the representatives of the three orders of the Dauphiné, who convene the States General on July 21, 1788. This event, and so many others, served as the foundation for the French Revolution. The castle now houses the Museum of the Revolution. You can visit the museum and the castle park, labeled "Remarkable Garden of France", free of charge.
