Viewpoint of San Antón de Corveiro

Impressive viewpoint next to the Hermitage of San Antonio. An obligatory place to see the best sunset in Galicia.Regarding the history of the Hermitage of Corveiro, no references are found in any document prior to January 1662 when a neighbor of this parish died and in her will, she commissioned several masses, and left a verbatim reflection of “I command two in the Hermitage of San Antonio de Corveiro”.On July 2, 1747, three foreign ships ("a frigate and one of the English corsair packets"), appeared in the estuary chasing some Spanish cargo ships, ended up finding them inside the estuary, and setting them on fire. Furthermore, several members of the frigate's crew jumped off the ground, reached the Hermitage of Corveiro and plundered as much as possible (the image of S. Ramón is the only one that remains).
