In the protected moor south of Kulz – in the heart of the Upper Palatinate Forest Nature Park – numerous rare animals and plants, including more than 100 endangered species on the Red List, live on an area of approximately 80 hectares. Due to the extreme habitat conditions, almost exclusively robust specialists are found there.
A moorland nature trail lets you immerse yourself in a world worthy of protection. You'll wander through primeval moorland, discover mysterious moor waters, and learn about the moor's past use.

Hiking
Very nice, family-friendly hike through the nature trail with well-made display boards. The flyers are available at the refuge, a wooden walkway leads through the moor. Worth seeing.
