The Brouwersdam is one of the hotspots in Zeeland. The 6.5 kilometer long dam is the connection between the islands of Goeree-Overflakkee and Schouwen-Duiveland. With the Grevelingen on one side and the North Sea on the other, the Brouwersdam is extremely suitable for water sports and relaxation.

The construction of the six-kilometer-long dam began in 1962. The Seearm between Goeree-Overflakkee and Schouwen-Duiveland was here up to 30 meters deep. The Brouwersdam was completed in 1971 and is part of Rijksweg 57, also called National Road N 57. After that, another sink was brought into the dam, which also serves as a fish pass.
