Coming up from Herrenalb, after the ascent into the Gaistal, the Skiheim is a nice rest stop. But you want to go further. You fill up with water at the fountain at the Hahnenfalls hut as you climb steadily uphill. Quickly a few more pictures of the Albtal and Herrenalb. And keep cranking. Leave the Langmarkskopfhütte on the left and enjoy the descent to the Kreuzlehütte. In the middle of the meadow it stands there, built entirely of red sandstone. Thoughts arise: How often have you eaten your snack here at the hut while cross-country skiing? Yes, often, today I'm looking for a shady spot on the bench.
