St. Wendelin's Chapel stands on a hill west of Bottenau. In the Middle Ages, a predecessor building stood next to today's chapel. This was demolished at the behest of the Appenweir bailiff Simon Bruder in the mid-18th century and replaced by a new building, today's chapel. The St. Wendelin Chapel was built in 1756. It serves to worship Saint Wendelin.

A nice old chapel with nice rustic wooden benches. With a very beautiful altarpiece and decorated with fresh flowers.
