Agujas Grandes, with its 267 meters, is the highest volcano in La Graciosa. There is a difference of only 10 meters in height with respect to its younger sister, Agujas Chicas. It is one of those volcanoes that allows you to go around the entire perimeter through its crest, and thanks to this you get a 360º view of the entire island and the rest of the Chinijo archipelago, as well as Lanzarote. Of course, it is recommended to walk with caution, since the terrain is very slippery. As far as possible, you should avoid ascending to the top on days with strong winds.

Of the four volcanic cones on the island of La Graciosa, Agujas Grandes has the honor of being the highest. Climbing the summit is rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view.

La Graciosa is the smallest inhabited island of the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean, which are politically part of Spain. Since November 2018, it has been recognized as the eighth inhabited island of the Canary Islands by statute of autonomy.

Very worthwhile climb with a fantastic view of the whole Chinijo archipelago and Lanzarote! The descent is quite difficult over hard and soft scree ("tramo técnico").
