The Rote Schrofen is a great panoramic mountain. The climb, however, is not particularly nice. However, the short tightrope walk to the Mittagskopf through exposed passages is more interesting than the ascent. The descent from the Mittagskopf is also nicer, not quite as steep as the ascent, but more exposed.
