When a Siegenfelder died, they used to bring them to their last resting place by horse and cart to Heiligenkreuz.
The carriages stopped at a late baroque chapel built in 1871 and the deceased were blessed again on the ground in Siegenfeld. Sculptures of Saint Benedict and Saint Andrew can be admired in the chapel.
