The cathedral of Oria is the main place of Catholic worship in the city and is dedicated to Maria Santissima Assunta in Cielo. It was elevated to a minor basilica in 1992 by Pope John Paul II, and is located in the oldest part of the village where you can admire a beautiful panorama of the area. Be careful with racing bikes because the entire historic center is paved with cobblestones and paving stones.
