The Iron Footbridge (not to be confused with the Iron Bridge, which is located 800 m further downstream) is a simple steel trough pedestrian bridge over the southern arm of the Danube in Regensburg and connects the old town of Regensburg with the Upper Wöhrd at river kilometer 2380.07. The footbridge was built after the Second World War and opened in 1948. Today's Iron Footbridge is the successor to an original Iron Footbridge, which was built between 1900 and 1902 as a steel arch bridge and was blown up at the end of the war.
