Visible from afar is a ski jump above Bermuthshain, which was planned from 1965 and finally inaugurated in 1970 under the name Wilhelm-Dillemuth-Schanze.
It is one of the last wooden ski jumping hills built in Germany and was listed as a historical monument in 2003.

The take-off table was repaired and made accessible. From here you have a great view of the Lüdertal.

There was already a small ski jump there in the 1950s, which had been built by young people interested in ski jumping at the “Höllerich” (approx. 570 m above sea level). In the 1960s, on the initiative of TSV Grebenhain and with the support of the Hessian Ski Association, the construction of a larger ski jump in the community was started. The planning and construction were in the hands of an architect and a civil engineer from Friedberg and Kahl am Main respectively. American pioneers helped with the earthworks with their technology. The ski jump had a 17.5 meter high wooden inrun tower and the inrun length was approx. 40 meters. For summer operation, the ski jump facility was given a complete Elasdur plastic matting surface. The second matting ski jump in Hesse was inaugurated in September 1970 and was named after the first skier in the Vogelsberg - Wilhelm Dillemuth. The ski jumps only lasted for about 10 years, with the main event being district championships and regional competitions. Poor snow conditions in the winter and the declining quality of the matting eventually led to the closure of the sports facility. The structure weathered and was due to be demolished. But as one of the last ski jumps made of wood in Germany, the structure was listed as a historical monument in 2003. Today, there is a platform in place of the take-off table, which offers a wonderful view over Bermuthshain and the Vogelsberg Nature Park.
