    Mountaineering

Gros Piton (Eng. "Big gap / summit ") is a mountain in the area of the Pitons, a protected area in the southwest of St. Lucia, and there in the south of the Quarters Soufrière. It stands at the end of Pitons Bay and rises to a height of 798 m above sea level. It is the second highest mountain in St. Lucia after Mount Gimie. It consists of an old volcanic core.
