Too bad. Operator seems to be focused on closed events. Been there twice. Both times because of the wedding, we drove on with nothing to do and thirsty.

In the tax register of the Senftenberg district in 1609, a wooden post mill in Dörrwalde was mentioned. On July 2, 1844, the post mill and its successor burned down completely. The following year, the current Dutch windmill was built at another location in the village. Another fire occurred on May 6, 1902, when a fire broke out in the tower roof at around 11:45 p.m., destroying the mill's technical equipment. A heavy storm broke off the mill's blades on a Sunday in July 1908 and damaged the tower roof.
