Loftesnesbrui was completed in November 2017 and officially opened on August 24, 2018. The bridge is 194 meters long with a longest span of 107 meters.
The new bridge replaced an earlier bridge which was a steel truss bridge. The old bridge opened in 1958 and was demolished when the new bridge was built in 2017.
