A trip on the “Rhön-Zügle” through the picturesque Streutal valley between the Franconian Open Air Museum and Mellrichstadt, 18 km away, brings this past back to life. The historic steam and diesel locomotives operate 20 days a year with their historic wagons, the so-called Donnerbüchsen.
