The Murmeli in Saas-Fee are especially friendly. The inhabitants of the marmot colony below Spielboden top station like to venture close to the hikers, yes, the cute little guys can even feed directly from the hand. In the mountain restaurants Spielboden and Hannig healthy food (carrots, peanuts and lettuce) can be bought for the marmot, please do not feed anything else for the sake of animal health.
