Almost at the very end of the beautiful, narrow Safiental valley, Turrahus is a good starting point for hikes to the Schwarzhorn/Gelbhorn, the Pizzas D'Anarosa, the Alperschälilücka, Safienberg, the Wisshorn and many more.

The slopes of the Safiental are predominantly steep to the east and predominantly flat to the west. This is due to the corresponding rock layers (often Graubünden slate), as can be seen in the Bodahora massif in the south.
