It's hard to believe, but you were here by the sea just 18.5 million years ago. Strictly speaking, on the northern edge of the Molasse Sea, where tower snails have accumulated here. These Turitelles gave this place its name. The site itself is only about 100m tall and up to 6m deep. The area is explained by display boards and is worth a stopover.
