Plan your visit for the evening, as you’ll need to walk barefoot in and around the temple area, which can be uncomfortable during the heat of the day and when it’s crowded. By sunset, the temperature is cooler and the crowds usually thin out, making it a much more pleasant experience. Since any gear you bring will be taken away or not allowed, it’s best to keep things minimal.
