During the construction of the power plants of Vorarlberger Illwerke AG, various feeders opened up the high mountain valleys of the Montafon, Paznaun and Brandnertal, which were previously difficult to access. As a result, the Golm Adventure Mountain became open to the public for summer and winter tourism. Modern cable cars, lifts and restaurants were created, which are very popular with guests and locals.
1959 to 2000
December 19, 1959: Public transport commenced, and thus ski operations at the Golmerbahn. On that day, 221 people were transported.
1960: Commissioning of the Grüneck T-bar lift, development of the Golm up to an altitude of 2,100 m.
1969: Completion of the Golm drag lift from Matschwitz to Grüneck / Alpboden
1973: Development of the Aussergolm area with the Aussergolm T-bar lift
1981: Construction and commissioning of the Hüttenkopfbahn (double chairlift)
1986: Construction and commissioning of the Matschwitz 4-seater chairlift as a replacement for the Golm T-bar lift
1987: New construction of the Panorama-Restaurant Grüneck as a replacement for the restaurant from 1971
1988: Takeover of the Vandans chairlift.
from 1990: Gradual expansion of the Golm snow-making system in order to be able to ensure a minimum number of ski slopes.
1998: Expansion of snowmaking in Matschwitz - Latschau
1995: New construction of the Golmerbahn as an 8-cabin monocable gondola from Vandans via Latschau to the Golm. The inclined elevator sections I and II as well as the double chairlift Vandans and Latschau will be removed.
2000: Expansion of the snowmaking system for the Latschau - Vandans valley run

An absolute highlight is the Roling Coaster, a kind of summer toboggan run on rails. It leads from the parking lot of the Golmer Bahn down to Vandans.
Not cheap at € 12 for adults, but a unique experience.
