The Romanesque first church must have stood as early as the 9th century, as almost all churches with the patron saints Stephanus and Laurentius go very far back. According to popular belief, this church was to be built in a depression near Mangolding. But in the legend, a raven carries the falling wood shavings to the current location. One believes that it is God's will to want one's house to be in the most beautiful part of the community.Source and more info

Pilgrimage to hl. Anna - original First mentioned in 788 as the Church of St. Stephen and Laurentius, but probably older - in 1895 the neo-Gothic decor was created.
