Steinhof mountain hut on the Muckenkogel (965 m, Gutenstein Alps/Lower Austria)
In 1959 the simple log cabin was leased by the St. Pölten Section, but it eked out a modest existence. In 1987, when the Wilhelmsburg local group took over the care, urgently needed renovation measures were initiated and over time a cozy refuge was built, which is also used as a youth hut.
The hut is open in summer on Mondays as required and by prior arrangement
("Monday hits").
Overnight stays and rentals are not possible.
