Tips
The Waalweg Trail is exceptionally beautiful and recommendable, but where it crosses the Fundusbach River, there is no bridge or footbridge. When the water level is high, it may not be possible to cross the riverbed. I succeeded only because the river was still covered with ice several dozen meters above the proper trail. Before embarking on this route, make a call to the Frischmannhütte. They will know what the situation is at the crossing point.
