Originally built in the early 12th century, this church was rebuilt around 1220 and is now a grade II* listed building.

St James' Church dates from the early 13th century, although an earlier building stood here during the time of the Doomsday book. It was hit by a bomb during the Second World War and later damaged by a fire in the 1960s but was extensively restored after both disasters. Outside the church you can also find the old village stocks.
