Woffelsbach is located approx. 3 km north of Rurberg am Rursee in the network system of the Rurtalsperre and approx. 9 km south-east of the Schwammenauel dam (outflow of the Rur into the Heimbach reservoir). The opposite east bank of the Rursee on the Kermeter slope belongs to the Eifel National Park, as do the areas of the Obersee adjoining to the south-east in Rurberg in the direction of the Urfttalsperre and Ordensburg Vogelsang.
