Hiking
This small round chapel is located a little below the Johanneskirche. Built in 1701 by the Höglwörth monastery, it was closed in 1785 (at the time of the Enlightenment) by decision of the Princely Salzburg Consistory and was to fall into ruin.
The Höglwörther provost prevented this. During the restoration in 2002 it was found that the round chapel and the church were dedicated to John the Baptist.
You can see an inscription, a baroque stucco altar with two putti and a new figure of St. John.
