Fuschl am See is a municipality with 1,659 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2023) and an area of 21.40 km². It is located 20 km east of the city of Salzburg and 30 km west of the spa town of Bad Ischl.
Lake Fuschl has an area of 2.7 km² and a maximum depth of 66 m. It is one of the cleanest lakes in Austria and has drinking water quality. The lake is fed by several streams and springs and flows into Lake Mondsee via the Fuschler Ache river.
