On the Italian side of the Geisspfad pass lies the Piani della Rossa. Across vegetation-free plateau with its rugged peaks leads the trail through rough-grained terrain. In particularly steep places, steel ropes and metal steps have been fixed in the red rocks to make climbing easier.
