The core zone has a northern and a southern part. This is about preserving the unique plant communities that have grown as a result of human clearing and grazing. In between and along the road and also in the middle of the dune heath there are - as everywhere on the island - often black houses, i.e. built without permission. There were already 80 of these in 1989. The holiday settlement is also part of it. Regulation has always been difficult for the administration. Now they are tolerated.
