🌊💙The Plästerlegge waterfall is the highest natural waterfall🌊 in the Sauerland; NRW.
Located east of the Bestwig district of Wasserfall,
in the northern Rothaar Mountains⛰️.
The steep valley with the waterfall belongs to the 13.7 hectare Plästerlegge nature reserve🌲.
The name Plästerlegge is a dialect of the Sauerland Platt🇩🇪 and means something like "raining slate rock", composed of the terms plästern ("pattering, to rain like a torrent") and Legge ("slate rock").

The waterfall, however, is highly dependent on the rainfall of the last few days - often more of a trickle🌊💙.
