Serenaded by Jochen Geißler in Büchenau

Directly at the Büchenauer Festhalle. Celebrations are held here several times a year.

The musician trio created in Büchenau in 1987 symbolizes the harmony of the three clubs.
The allegorical musician trio created in 1987 (wind players with clarinet, singer behind the sheet music, accordion player) is intended to refer to the nearby domicile of the three cultural Büchenau clubs (Musikverein 1898, men's choral society "Harmonie", harmonica friends).
The cheerful trio is put together to form a meaningful ensemble. Facing and assigned to each other, the two musicians and the singing friend give the impression of being serenaded. The modern, representational group picture, whose shape is also determined by the material, symbolizes the harmony prevailing among the three clubs. The two-hundred-weight men stand firm and upright on colorful sandstone rocks as a successful contribution to the beautification of the southern entrance to the Bruchsal district.
The idea, draft and model came from Jochen Geißler, who once again demonstrated his artistic talent. He also put himself into the execution of “his work of art” with zeal. The dimensions and the unfamiliar material – Geißler previously produced works in clay – required the energetic help of a quartet of “metal experts” who loved to sing. Around 800 hours of work went into the three sculptures. The statue, which was financially supported by the city, is the result of an exemplary community work, the completion and handover of which received due attention from the residents of Büchenau.
